what’s up with the zip files?

weird. a couple people told us they have a hard time downloading using the “Full album (zip)” link. does that happen to you too? then please let me know what’s up: dt@electrocd.com. tell me what platform (mac or windows) you’re using, & what unzip software too, that’ll be helpful. your feedback is appreciated!

i noticed that the problem seems to happen mostly with mac OS for some reason. if that’s your case, i suggest you try using the free utility zipeg. that one doesn’t seem to have any problem with the zip files that are generated by the internet archive (which is the site that generously hosts our songs).

anyway, since last time we talked, there’s been some new releases so let’s recap all that. first off, Nicolas Bernier’s debut full-length Les arbres is finally available. you can hear two full tracks from this wonderful CD through radio no type. speaking of which, i think we need to make up a new tagline for nicolas’ music: electroacoustic with a human touch.

panospria is also back with quite a psychedelic offering from duo Primes: Psychwolf. short, yes, but sweet indeed. & no type annexe has uncovered two new archeological finds, namely Eucci’s collection Coast Days and Cruel (filled with precious out of print singles & outtakes!) & the debut of the subverseco recovery programme, starting with a double EP from the great Books on Tape: Crowdpleaser + Live at Orlando Magic Fest. ahhh… i missed that sound.

there will be more, of course… but as the summer nears, updates won’t come as regularly until fall. until then, have fun strolling our gigantic archives: it’s always fresh down there.

june 11: no type meets ekumen at suoni per il popolo!
