Description

Érick d’Orion introduced us to the works of late science-fiction autor and humanist Kurt Vonnegut in the early nineties. We immersed ourselves with great interest in the worlds of Vonnegut’s pragmatic imagination, enchanted by his wit and compassion. It is only fitting, then, to welcome D’Orion’s first participation in the Sine Fiction series with this ambient translation into space, following Malachi Constant’s pursuit of the The Sirens of Titan.

We talked about it…

last farewell to kurt vonnegut

May 5, 2007

as you’ve probably figured out already, no typers are quite fond of science fiction (if you doubt that, see our sine fiction series), and most particularly its most bizarre, dangerous or outlandish aspects. so we were quite sad to learn the recent passing of kurt vonnegut, author of, amongst other titles, slaughterhouse-five, cat’s cradle, breakfast of champions and the sirens of titan. & speaking of that last one, & speaking also of sine fiction (see how everything is connected? that’s called magic), our good old friend érick d’orion created a brand new soundtrack to this famous novel, which gives us: sine fiction vol.XIX) the sirens of titan! a good way to soothe your ears while granting one last salute to a great man of american letters. see you next week! → Continued…
